I am not at heart a poet, unless by poet you include all creators of words and phrases strung together in a way that is hopefully pleasing to eye and ear. On the odd occasion, however, I do find myself moved to create something with a structure more strict than my usual prose. When that happens, and I’m not too displeased with the result, you’ll find it here.
I’ve classed this under Short Works, of course, because that’s almost certainly going to always be the case for me. However, have you ever wondered about the inspiration for the name of Anna’s starship in The Silence of Ancient Light?
Indeed, inspired by that modern classic, Aniara, as well as its elder forerunner, the Poetic Edda, there is now a new addition to this page of short works, though a bit — ok, a lot! — longer than its neighbors here: To Wander the Silent Dark.
